Wi-Fi router

Wi-Fi router

Yesterday, I bought a really cheap wireless router from CDR-KING. It’s a bundled pack, a generic wireless router plus a wireless USB LAN dongle. Installation was very easy, I just plug my broadband ethernet cable and my PC on the router and it worked perfectly. The router’s configuration was a breeze, I use a WPA2 encryption and a pre-shared key to protect access to my Wi-Fi and home network, I’d also set the router’s password to secure admin page. Now I’ll be able to use my laptop anywhere at home.

Note: I’m not in any way affiliated with or promoting the said products or services and I do recommend buying high quality product or branded routers like Cisco’s Linksys or D-Link. I was on a tight budget so I go for the cheap one for now but I was pretty satisfied with my choice.

Happy holidays!

Android N810

Android N810

I’ve found this article on engadget.com:

I definitely agree with you Paul! It’s really a mind blowing scene to actually see Android OS on a live gadget (Nokia N810). Not a phone though. I Just can’t wait to see an actual phone that has android on it. I mean, not the prototypes. I could see a lot of prototype nowadays, but not really for release. Hhhmmm, yah! I could definitely smell it already.

Here’s the link to elinux.org for info, specs requirements, and/or steps on how to install Android OS on Nokia N810. (if the site is down, check out google’s cached file)

Some geniuses, Eh?

Moto!

Moto!

JAL or Java Application Loader will enable you to transfer MIDlets from your PC to your Motorola phone. By default JAL is NOT activated in your phone when you purchase it. So you have to activate it your self. Well! I really don’t know Motorola’s reason behind this but anyway you can find out if JAL is activated on your phone by going to Menu -> Settings -> Java Settings. If you CAN NOT see the “Java App Loader”, follow the instructions on the link below on how to enable JAL using PST software but if you can see it, most probably JAL is already activated so you don’t need to activate it (again).
